The Alloa and District Round Table bonfire and fireworks extravaganza was a massive success with over 8,000 spectators turning up to witness this yearly spectacular which helped to raise around £10,000 for local Clackmannanshire Charity's.
This was the second year that Alloa hosted the fireworks extravaganza in Alloa's Westend Park.
Children were entertained from 6pm with a children's entertainer, before Provost Derek Stewart pressed the button to light the bonfire at 7pm and started the one hour set from local Band Nae Danger. Clackmannanshire's very own Tartan Juggler kept awaiting spectators entertained with a spectacular fire and light ball juggling display.
David Westland BID Chairman and Fireworks Convenor "The event went fantastically well, with visitor numbers up on last years figures. We are keen to further develop our event and I would be greatful of any comments both positive and negative".
The fireworks event will be back on Monday 5th November 2012 - so please put date in your diary today.
